Watch the LaFerrari XX Be Pushed to the Point of Suspension Failure

Track Car

Hardcore supercar requires hardcore testing.

We know Ferrari is working on the track-focused hardcore variant of the LaFerrari. What we didn’t know was just how hard it was working on it. Filmed testing at the challenging Monza circuit, at the 2min 12sec mark (slow-mo at 2:20), watch as the rear suspension of the beefed up LaFerrari shatters mid-corner. In creating the ultra-exclusive XX, Ferrari is not expecting to squeeze any more power from the LaFerrari’s 950-hp powerplant.

Instead engineers have focused on improving aerodynamics, tuning the electronic stability and traction system, reducing weight and revising the suspension for the track. After watching the video, you’ll agree that last area clearly needs some more attention.
