Has AMG built the ultimate sports car?
From looks and performance specs alone, it appears Mercedes has something quite special on its hands with the AMG GT. But will AMG’s second model be able to perform as everyone expects? This full HD promotional video suggests that it will, as we watch it sprint around Austin’s Circuit of Americas like a past master. Seen here is the Mercedes-AMG GT S, the more potent of the initial two trim levels and the first to hit showrooms next year.
With 503 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque being delivered from its 4.0-liter V8, and a host of performance goodies including an electronic differential, performance exhaust, and adjustable damping, the GT S will hit 62 mph in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 193 mph.
