Rather than wait for the next auto show to steal the spotlight, Porsche decided to lift the covers off the much-anticipated 911 GT2 RS at the E3 gaming exhibition in Los Angeles to coincide with the reveal of Forza Motorsport 7, giving us a first look at the track-focused sports car uncamouflaged. While we're still waiting for Porsche to release some official photos of the 911 GT2 RS, a new spy video has surfaced showing it being pushed to the limit at the Nurburgring to get us pumped.

The 911 GT2 RS seen in the video is wearing some discrete camouflage, but we still get to hear its screaming twin-turbo engine in all its glory as the driver pushes it hard. Performance specs have still yet to be revealed, but we know the 911 GT2 RS is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six taken from a Turbo S mated to a PDK transmission.

Total output is rumored to be 641 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque, which would make the GT2 RS the most powerful 911 Porsche has ever produced. It also tips the scales at just 3,306 pounds, resulting in an alleged 0-60 mph time of under three seconds. Like its GT3 RS sibling, the GT2 RS has also been fitted with a wealth of aero upgrades. The rear wing is enormous, massive air vents dominate the front and an extreme body kit makes it look absurdly aggressive. You'll be able to take the 911 GT2 RS for a virtual test drive when Forza Motorsport 7 launches on Xbox One on October 3. Expect a reveal from Porsche before then either online or at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September.
