The Honda S2000 was an excellent sports car, sold in the US from 2001 to 2008. We've dreamed of the day that Honda would finally offer a replacement, but if the massive wait for the NSX is any indication, a new S2000 could take a while. The S2000 was known for its high-revving four-cylinder engine and its excellent steering feel and balance. The one thing that the S2000 wasn't really known for was its straight line speed. With only 240 hp and 160 lb-ft of torque, the S2000 wouldn't scare many minivans at the drag strip.

This particular car is no ordinary S2000. It was built specifically for drag racing. Amazingly, the builders were able to keep the original F22 engine, but added a turbocharger and many other upgrades for a total of 1,500 hp. That's over 375 hp per cylinder.

If you'd think that stuffing Bugatti-level power into a tiny car like an S2000 would make it blisteringly fast, you'd be right. This car was able to complete the quarter-mile in just 6.78 seconds at 203 mph. That is quicker than a modified Nissan GT-R with 3,000 hp. We can't believe that someone was able to make a four-cylinder car so fast. It is an incredible feat that must been seen to be believed.
