Think the stock Z/28 can't get any better? Just wait.
There’s nothing not to love about the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28. It comes straight from the factory with a naturally aspirated 7.0-liter V8 with 505 horsepower along with carbon-ceramic brakes and a six-speed manual gearbox. How do you make something like this any better? You hand it off to Hennessey Performance. After a number of modifications including a camshaft upgrade and value train parts, there’s an additional 100+ horsepower to be found. The final result is 636 hp.
In addition to its wonderful track handling, these upgrades will give the Z/28 better overall straight line performance. So how does the Hennessey HPE600 Z/28 do on the track? Former GM performance executive engineer and SCCA national champion John Heinricy takes it out for a spin to find out.
