The Audi RS3 is one of our favorite compact sports cars and punches above its weight thanks to excellent acceleration and brilliant cornering ability. This car might be a bombshell from the factory, but there's always room for improvement. Take the car you see in front of you has been heavily modified, and it has now set a record as the fastest TTE700 RS3 in the world.

We've been getting excited about the new RS3, which sounds amazing when we last saw it lapping the Nurburging. But this creation is something else entirely.

The RS3 in question has been modified to produce over 700 horsepower and 580 lb-ft of torque thanks in part to an upgraded TTE700 turbocharger developed by The Turbo Engineers, and a fully-forged motor. Those power outputs mean that this car offers over 300 hp more than the stock car. In previous testing, it managed a zero to sixty sprint time of only 2.4 seconds, and the 60 mph to 130 mph test was completed in only 5.93 seconds. Those numbers are insane. The car's previous best time over the quarter-mile was a solid 9.8 seconds with a trap speed of 141 mph.

Since those times were posted, the owner has done some further modifications, which include a stripped-out headliner, insulation, carpeting, and remaining trim pieces. The car has had its exhaust pipe removed in the video, and rides on Hoosier drag radials. The final curb weight of the car is a slight 3,055 pounds, which is close to 500 pounds lighter than the stock car.

In the video, the car is seen lining up for the quarter-mile. The driver comments that the fuel mix had been changed and that the car has been set up for a 4,000 rpm launch limit. The first run reveals a time of 9.53 seconds at 147 mph with a sixty-foot time of 1.509 seconds and an eight-mile time of 6.184 seconds. The second run is of a different car driven by another driver.
