Modified powerplant has turned this Vette into a beast.
We love everything about the new Chevrolet Corvette Z06, but even with its 6.2-liter supercharged V8 delivering 650 hp and equal numbers of foot-pound of torque, there’s no way America’s latest supercar is a nine-second quarter-miler. That doesn’t mean it can’t be coaxed into such numbers, however. And as you’ll see here, that’s exactly what Fasterproms managed to achieve after boosting output to 714 hp and 720 lb-ft of torque.
Courtesy of a new supercharger, custom tune by Jeremy Formato, a modified air box and air duct, a flex fuel kit, ARH headers, and drag radials, the C7 Z06 was able to clock the quarter mile in 9.87 seconds at 138 mph.
