Talk about getting lucky.
Say what youwill about rallying, but the drivers involved race on some of the most treacherousroads known to man. Unlike other types of racing, rally drivers don’t have barricadesor runoff areas where they can stop they’re vehicles from careening off thetrack. What we have here is French rallyist Robert Consani in the last round ofthe ERC in Zin, Czech Repblic. Unfortunately, Consani cut a right-handed cornera little too tightly and this is the aftermath of a split second mistake.
Incredibly, Consaniand his co-driver manage to walk away from the crash, which goes to show how safetyfeatures in a racing vehicle actually save lives. You’ll want to watch this crasha couple of times.
