We're just a few days away from the 2019 Frankfurt Auto Show, and while many automakers have announced which models will debut at the show, there are bound to be a few surprises. Audi has now confirmed it will be showing two new models to the world for the first time. One will be the previously announced Audi AI:TRAIL concept car that will show Audi's vision of a future fully electric off-roader. As we expected, the other will be the world debut of the new Audi RS7 Sportback.

This comes as no surprise since Audi has already confirmed six new RS models will be revealed by the end of the year and we've already seen RS7 Sportback prototypes out in the wild. No teaser photos have been revealed, but the recent reveal of the Audi RS6 Avant gives us a good idea what to expect.

Under the hood, the RS7 Sportback will share its RS6 Avant's twin-turbocharged, hybridized 4.0-liter V8 that produces 591 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. In the RS6 Avant, the 0-62 mph sprint takes 3.6 seconds and 0-124 mph takes just 12 seconds before hitting a top speed of 190 mph.

A render based on the RS6 Avant also shows the RS7 Sportback will be a very mean-looking sedan, sporting an angular front fascia with a large grille and air intakes, along with slender headlights. As with other RS models, the rear feature dual oval-shaped exhaust tips. Spy shots have also shown the new RS7 Sportback will have a redesigned rear bumper and a trunk lid spoiler.

As well as the new RS7 Sportback, Audi will be showcasing the new A4 Sedan, Q7, A1 citycarver, Q3 Sportback, and RS6 Avant at the event. In fact, more than half of the 26 cars Audi on display will be making their motor show debut.
