The Nissan GT-R is one of the best drag racing cars in the world. Although it wasn't really built specifically for drag racing, the twin-turbo V6 and AWD combined with an easy to shift dual-clutch transmission make it the perfect car to jump in and dominate on the strip. Its launch control is apparently so good that even your grandmother can get it to rip off 2.7 second 0-60 mph runs. It doesn't matter whether the competition is from America, or from Germany or Japan, the GT-R dominates drag races. Or does it?

Is the GT-R's launch really perfect? Evo recently pitted the GT-R against the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. The Porsche seems to be at a huge disadvantage with "only" 493 hp compared to the Nissan's 542. The GT-R also has AWD. This drag race should be a no brainer, but don't count the 911 out just yet. It is lighter by 660 pounds, so you never know.
