We Love The Porsche Carrera GT But This Dealership May Be Asking Way Too Much

For Sale

Is there such a thing as "too much" for a supercar?

There’s not really much more we can say about the Porsche Carrera GT that we haven’t said before. The mid-engine beast is a triumph of both engineering and design. Its engine—a 5.7-liter V10 good for 612 horsepower—may be “weak” by today’s supercar standards but its top speed of 205 mph is still damn good. Oh, and it also looks fun to drive, at least according to this POV video. Not many Carrera GTs were made (1,270 total) which means not many come up for sale.

As you might have guessed, this red example is up for sale. It is listed at $1.195 million at Ferrari of Newport Beach. It’s a 2005 with only 765 miles on the odometer; for a 10-year-old supercar that’s pretty damn good. The only thing we’re a bit unsure of is the price. We’ve seen two examples going for less, including a “Porsche Exclusive” listed for just under $1 million. So, if you had the cash would you scoop up this modern classic or go for something a bit more contemporary?
