It's certainly possible that someone out there might mistake this car for an actual Bentley Continental GT. If the sun was in your eyes or if it was a rainy day then you might not recognize that this as a replica built using a 2005 Ford Mustang GT. All joking aside, the person behind this car didn't do an awful job. But does that mean you should pay $65,000 for it? No, no you shouldn't. Regardless, that hasn't stopped the creator of this replica for putting it up for sale on eBay with a Buy It Now price of $65k.

So what exactly makes this replica worth as much as a used Bentley? The ad is pretty detailed about what was done to turn a run of the mill Mustang GT into a franken Continental GT. With regard to the exterior, a "2016 new style trunk lid" was installed and over $6,000 worth of lights (courtesy of a 2015 Bentley) were installed. More money was spent on the interior to make you forget that what you're actually sitting in is a Mustang. It took over $3,000 but this car now sports an OEM shifter, legit A/C vents and a Breitling clock on the dash. There's also a nifty 8-inch Alpine touchscreen infotainment screen. That's where you'll control the stereo system that is reportedly worth $6,000.

The engine is the 4.6-liter V8 from the '05 GT which made 300 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque. That's down just a bit from the 2005 Continental GT's V12 which was rated at 552 horsepower. We're going to stop right here because you don't really need to know anything else about this car. While it looks to have been a labor of love we just can't understand the ridiculous Buy It Now price. For $65,000 you can get an actual Continental GT. Hell, if you shop smart you could probably get an actual Continental GT and a 2005 Mustang GT with that budget. There are currently no bids on this car but 52 people are watching it and there's two weeks left on the auction. Please, nobody buy this car at this price.
