All weirdness aside, the Lincoln commercials starring Matthew McConaughey have worked. Lincoln is finally getting the publicity it's been craving as it continues to find its niche. Not really a direct Cadillac fighter but still more luxurious than Buick, Lincoln is still fighting an uphill survival battle. But thanks to our favorite spaced-out, rambling Texan, and Academy Award winner, more Lincolns are being sold today than in years.

So yeah, these commercials have done the trick, even sparking those Jim Carrey and Ellen DeGeneres spoofs. And now the guy is back driving the new MKC crossover. He's talking about savoring the moment, pauses for several seconds and stares. We stare too, trying to savor our moment. Then we realize we've just been weirded out. Again.
