Weekly DFA: How Not to Treat A Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster

Another Lamborghini meets its maker in New York State.

If this were a perfect world, doing something like this to a Lamborghini Murcielago would be a felony; automatic jail time years in the double digits. But no, the world doesn't work the way we'd often like and we just have to make do with the driver being cited and possibly having their license revoked. Thankfully no one was seriously hurt in this accident, but the owner of this Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster totally destroyed his Italian supercar.

Traveling close to 150 mph on the Long Island Expressway, the driver lost control and crashed hard into the highway center divider. Clearly the Murcielago is totaled and while we're glad the driver is ok, we still can't help but feel some animosity towards him/her for doing this to such a wonderful machine. We also found this video showing what's left of it.

Coincidentally, it's sitting in a lot right next to the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder that was previously profiled in this segment. That car met its fatal end at Bear Mountain state park in New York when the driver lost control and flipped over in a ditch. So be careful when driving those Lamborghinis, especially in New York State.
