The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 has been chosen as the pace car for next month's Indianapolis 500 mile race. Behind the wheel will be four-time NASCAR Sprint Cup champion and five-time Brickyard 400 winner Jeff Gordon, who will have the privilege of piloting the pace car at the 99th running of the legendary race. Featuring an Arctic White paint scheme with Indy graphics and strobe lights, and an Adrenaline Red interior, the Z06 maintains its 650-hp 6.2-liter supercharged V8.

According to Gordon, "Indy is hallowed ground for racers like me and I couldn't be more thrilled to drive the Corvette Z06 pace car around the track that helped drive my success over the years." He went on to say "I've won five NASCAR races at IMS and the track will always be a special place for me, so to be able to participate in such a historic day will be something I remember for the rest of my life."
