Performance cars are more powerful than ever and that includes SUVs. As Top Gear shows us in a drag race between the Porsche Caynne Turbo S, Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, high-performance SUVs are in a completely different league now. While the SUVs look like soccer mom cars, when combined these beasts have a total of roughly 1,600 hp. Ten years ago, getting three supercars together that put out this much power was no easy task. Oh yes, these are weird and wonderful times.

The Range Rover sounds the best, the Cherokee SRT is the American choice, while the Cayenne Turbo S is the most powerful. Maybe its time enthusiasts considered how awesome high-performance SUVs really can be.
