What If Cadillac Had Built Its Own El Camino?

Trucks / 20 Comments

This is the coolest truck you've never heard of.

Long before the Escalade EXT, Cadillac gave the pickup segment a go. This was in the 1970s, aka the days of mammoth luxury American sedans and gas guzzling pickup trucks. Unfortunately for Cadillac, it was also the time when these cars started giving way to smaller, more fuel efficient cars. Even so, Cadillac built 204 units of the incredible Mirage, an El Camino of sorts. It was based on the Coupe Deville and furnished with all the V8 power and luxuries that you'd expect from a Cadillac of its day.

And to make sure it is never forgotten, BIG MUSCLE has the full story of this ill-fated yet awesome American luxury pickup.
