What Makes Aston’s V8 Vantage N430 So Special?

Test Drive

Is the N430 more than just a fancy paint job?

Aston says its special edition Vantage is “GT-4 inspired.” The N430 comes with the Vantage S’ 424-hp 4.7-liter V8 mated to a six-speed manual as standard, and is good for a 0-60 mph time of 4.6 seconds and a 190 mph top speed. Thanks to carbon-fiber trim, Kevlar seats and lightweight ten-spoke alloys, the N430 is 17 kg lighter than the Vantage S. Other unique touches include the Club Sport Graphics Pack, an obvious nod to the carmaker’s CC100 Speedster concept.

But is all that enough to call it special? Autocar’s Steve Sutcliffe investigates.
