When Richard Noble announced that he was working on the Bloodhound SSC, a land speed record car that would be the first to break the 1,000mph barrier, it naturally sparked a bit of curiosity. Fresh thinking was needed for a car that was going to go so much faster than any other before, and this positively insane piece of engineering is absolutely unique. It is actually so different from anything else with wheels, that we now have a video to explain it.

Even with the video, the concept of 135,000 horsepower is something that is incredibly difficult to wrap your mind around. Nevertheless, it is awesome to watch.
