It's a damn shame what GM (or Obama, take your pick) did to Pontiac. GMC and Buick lived while Pontiac was kindly escorted to the graveyard. Bankruptcy totally sucks. Fortunately GM's excitement division has plenty of old favorites for us to cherish. One of them is the Firebird, specifically this 1968 example featured on the latest episode of Generation Gap. Powered by a 350 cu.in. V8 with 320 horsepower, this old school bird is just as awesome today as it was when it first launched.

But how does it compare with an extremely rare 2010 Lingenfelter Trans Am. Yes, the latter is based off today's Camaro, but has an insane 655 hp output. So which is better, generally speaking? Check out the video ahead for a couple of opinions.
