What’s New For Some 2019 Dodge Chargers? Awesome Stripe Options

Because the V8-powered muscle sedan could always use an extra dose of style.

Its general underpinnings may be several years older than most other sedans on the market today, but the Dodge Charger continues to be the one and only muscle sedan you can buy. Whether you opt for the Charger SRT Hellcat with its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 with over 700 hp or any of the other Hemi-powered trims, you’ll be driving something special. Even the base 3.6-liter V6 with just under 300 hp ain’t too shabby.

For 2019, the Charger lineup continues to fight on and Dodge has just announced something new for the new model year: stripes. More specifically, three new exterior stripe options for the Charger Hellcat, R/T Scat Pack, and R/T models.

The 2019 Charger SRT Hellcat will offer new red, blue, silver, gunmetal gray, and carbon dual-center stripes. Dual carbon stripes are being made available for the first time ever on the two non-Hellcat trims. Instead of having to find stripes like these aftermarket, Dodge enthusiasts can now order them directly from the factory. “The Dodge Charger continues its run as the sales leader in the large car segment for the fifth year in a row,” said Steve Beahm, Head of Passenger Cars for Dodge and SRT. “And as the aftermarket customization business continues to balloon, these new stripe options give Charger buyers the opportunity to make what is already the only four-door muscle car in the market even more unique, and to do it straight from the factory.”

All sets are dual-center, full-length stripes that cover the front and rear fascias, roof, and deck lid. They’re tailored to closely replicate the NACA duct-hood vent. “Exterior stripes, especially when they are a contrasting color, amplify the shape of the hood and highlight how big the air-intake is, all of which combine to truly accentuate the shape of the Charger,“ said FCA exterior design chief Mark Trostle. “Our customers love the ability to make their cars unique and with five different stripe colors and an awesome color palette of thirteen colors, they can truly make their Charger their own.”

How much will these cool-looking dual stripe options set you back? All stripe packages carry a $995 MSRP.
