What’s New For The 2016 GMC Sierra HD?

Will it be enough to get truckers to their nearest GMC dealership?

As promised, GMC has revealed more details about the 2016 Sierra HD, which is set to hit dealerships in the coming weeks. HID headlights now come as standard with integrated LED DRLs, there’s a remote locking tailgate and new body colors include Crimson Red Tintcoat, Cardinal Red, Deep Garnet Metallic and Mahogany Metallic. Inside, the cabin now boasts a wireless smartphone charger, as well as an uprated IntelliLink infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capabilities.

A new Active Steering Assist system and optional Gooseneck/5th Wheel Trailering Prep Package for Duramax-powered models are other new upgrades, while maximum capacities range from 14,500 pounds in the 2500HD to 23,200 pounds in the 3500 HD.
