Limited to 250 units.
McLaren is committed to bringing out a new model every year for the foreseeable future, but introducing a bicycle just smacks of desperation. Bicycle manufacturer Specialized has partnered with McLaren to create a limited edition variant of its race machine, dubbed the S-Works McLaren Tarmac. Just 250 will be made with the company only accepting orders during the month of July. Utilizing McLaren’s proprietary carbon layup process, up to 11 percent was shaved off the frame and fork’s weight.
The special edition bicycle also boasts carbon-fiber wheels, crankset and AeroFly handlebars, while the custom paintwork and graphics are the work of McLaren Special Operations. Complete with a pair of matching bespoke S-Works road shoes and Prevail helmet, the S-Works McLaren Tarmac is priced at 20,000 Euros. Buyers will also receive a Body Geometry fit in order for the bike to be built to individual specifications.
