What The Hell Is Causing Brand New Corvette Stingray Engines To Fail?

Ok, something is seriously messed up here.

This isn’t the first time something like this happened, but so far Chevrolet has failed to provide any specific answers. What you’re about to hear is the sound of a brand new C7 Corvette Stingray whose engine has seemingly failed. In fact, Car and Driver’s very own long-term Corvette suffered from engine failure several months ago with just 6,000 miles on the clock. Another similar incident involved a Z06 whose engine blew after only 891 miles, but that’s the LT4 Supercharged V8, not the standard LT1. However, both V8s having something not good going on.

Are there defects? Poor design? GM has so far, to its credit, replaced the failed engines but it still hasn’t explained the initial problem. And now another C7 owner has experienced the same. Listen to the sad and cringing sound ahead.
