Not seen one of those before.
If these spy shots are to be believed, Jaguar is working on an electric variant of the XE sedan. Where letters of the alphabet commonly seen on the rear end of Jags, such as S, R, and R-S, come with a red and green circular background, this particular prototype was wearing an "E" with a light blue badge. Automakers often use blue to mark out their electric or hybrid vehicles, so we have to assume that's also the case here.
However, whether Jaguar is planning on a hybrid, plug-in hybrid, or diesel hybrid drivetrain remains to be seen. Reports Jaguar was building an EV surfaced last year, after the firm trademarked the name "EV-Type" and subsequent rumors pointed to the F-Pace SUV as being the first model to receive the electric treatment.
