Although we are used to hearing about celebrities and their phenomenal rides, when one lucky guy gets one of the finest cars on the planet as a birthday present – from his bombshell wife, no less – well, that gets our attention. To mark her husband George's 54th birthday, Amal Clooney has just placed an order for a Porsche 911 GT3 RS. As the UK's Mirror reports, Clooney has already taken the car out for a test drive in England, but his present will arrive in the US to replace an older 911 that he currently drives.

A friend of the family told the Mirror that "George loves his cars. They have to be stylish and fast, and he always has two." As for the present, the source added that "Amal has been looking for the right car for him to replace his black Porsche 911 and the new one is much faster". The 500 horsepower GT3 RS goes on sale in the US this July, and Clooney will be receiving one of the first $176,895 examples when deliveries begin. As jealous as we are of George, with the bar set so high we wouldn't want to be in his shoes when Amal's birthday comes around.
