Someone who wants to save time and money, that's who.
Craigslist is probably the last place you’d expect to find a piece of Mustang history for sale. That being said the site’s Long Island cars & trucks page is home to a listing for a 1995 Mustang Cobra R. If you’re not a Mustang super fan then you might have trouble realizing why this car is so special. For starters, only 250 were made and they all sold out within five days. (This is No. 12.) Sales figures aside, this Mustang is a track-focused beast.
It has a 5.8-liter V8 pulled from the F-150 Lightning that was tuned to drop 300 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque. Car and Driver tested it way back when and recorded a 0 to 60 time of 5.4 seconds and a top speed of 151 mph. Those numbers look tame today but remember that this car came out at a time when you couldn’t use the phone and internet at the same time. The example for sale here was bought and immediately stored, showing only 454 miles on the odometer. The seller is asking $34,750, which isn’t horrible considering its condition and rarity.
