It's a debate that's raged on for a few years now, and with the unveiling of the all-new 7 Series it is set to continue for a while longer. BMW has always maintained there are no plans to build a M7. But if ever there was a time to green light the range-topping model it would be now. Mercedes is enjoying success with the S63 and S65 AMG and while the carmaker insists the Alpina B7 serves as an adequate competitor, there would be no shortage of suitors for a pure-bread M7.

Rendering artist X-Tomi Design has envisioned what this may look like, and has also thrown a Touring variant into the mix. This has even less of a chance of reaching production than the M7, but why not dare to dream?
