One picture of each car isn't enough.
After a few years of things not looking so good, it seems that Lotus is getting its act together, mainly thanks to a proper CEO who's a car guy and actually has years of auto industry management experience. Both help immensely. Over the past few days, Lotus has released details about two new trims for the Elise and Exige. First off, the Elise is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a special edition. The second reveal is the Exige S Club Racer, an even more bonkers variant of an already bonkers purists' driving machine.
We wanted to write about both of them. We wanted to publish professionally taken photos direct from Lotus. But only one simple and unexciting photo of each car was sent. And not just to us but to all media outlets. So listen here, Lotus. We're rooting for you and will continue doing so, but you gotta help us help you. Ferrari can pull off the marketing adage "A picture is worth a thousand words," but you're not Ferrari. We know money is tight for you at the moment, but high quality images aren't that expensive. In the meantime, here are the two solitary shots, white background and all, of the Elise 20th Anniversary Edition and Exige S Club Racer. To summarize them both: more weight loss (10 kg and 15 kg, respectively) and unique color schemes.
