Yesterday we learned that several LaFerrari owners were bringing their cars in for some kind of unknown service update, also rumored to be a recall. Supposedly, all 499 examples were recalled. Why? No one honestly knew. But that was yesterday; today is a new day. Ferrari has announced that all LaFerraris will be given new fuel tanks, with the replacement unit being less prone to catching fire. And yet Ferrari is adamant that this is not a recall and there's no serious safety risk here.

N/A

In fact, the recall that's not really a recall is optional for owners. Ferrari prefers to call this an upgrade. Owners who opt for the upgrade (OK Ferrari, we'll cave) can bring their LaFerrari in to an official dealership for the eight hour service at no cost. Life's good when you're a LaFerrari owner, unless, of course, your car happens to catch on fire. That'd totally suck.
