From other Ferraris, that is.
There’s a reason why the 1975 Ferrari Dino 308 GT4 doesn’t looks like most other Ferraris. That’s because it wasn’t designed by Pininfarina. Rival Italian design firm Bertone handled this one. The reason why is because Pininfarina wasn’t done with the Dino 308 design when Ferrari needed it. Bertone, coincidentally, had a completed design that was supposed to be the Lamborghini Urraco, but Lamborghini didn’t like it. So when Ferrari came knocking, Bertone had a solution.
What’s also unique about the Dino 308 GT4 was that it was Ferrari’s first production car to have a mid-engined V8. And now, after many years of not being so collectable, the 308 GT4 is finding new popularity. Here’s the story of one owner who actually bought his car literally by accident.
