There hasn’t been an American brand muscle sedan this good since, well, the Pontiac G8. And we all know how that ended. Ah, but wait, today there’s the Chevrolet SS, essentially the G8 2.0. Built on the same platform as the old Pontiac, the SS is basically GM’s official apology for dropping the G8 and perhaps the Pontiac brand altogether. But the SS is more than just a rebadged G8. It is, however, missing some attitude.
It’s received numerous updates and other refinements, and yet it’s still not much of a looker. And you know what? That’s just fine. Because it’s powered by an LS3 V8 with 415 ponies.
