There's really nothing else like the DeLorean DMC-12. What started out with so much enthusiasm turned into a nightmare for its creator and a premature death for the car itself. Fortunately, the DeLorean found new life not long after John Z. DeLorean was acquitted of drug charges. By starring in the "Back to the Future" trilogy, the gullwinged DeLorean gains new fans every day. Although the original facility in Northern Ireland is long gone, a new company has been formed to care for the 80s icon.

Today's DeLorean Motor Company is US-based and serves an extremely loyal community of owners. The DeLorean was ahead of its design time when it premiered in 1981, and even now it still looks like something from the future. If he were still alive, there's no doubt that John DeLorean would be proud of what the car has become to so many.
