Yes, the new BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe will also have a gigantic kidney grille.
It's been just over a month since the debut of the all-new 2021 BMW 4 Series, and we're still getting used to its bold new design direction. Now that the BMW 4 Series Coupe has debuted, it's only a matter of time before more variants join the new 4 Series lineup.
Render artists have already shown us what the next-generation BMW M4 and BMW 4 Series Convertible will look like. Now, artist Nikita Chuyko has created an accurate depiction of the all-new version of the more practical five-door 4 Series Gran Coupe.
In truth, this isn't the first time a render artist has previewed the new BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe. Since the BMW i4 will essentially be a fully electric version of the new 4 Series Gran Coupe, the BMW Concept i4 that debuted back in March previewed its new design direction. The Concept i4 was used as a foundation for a 4 Series Gran Coupe render a few months ago, but this latest design is more accurate since it's based on the production BMW 4 Series Coupe.
Like its two-door sibling, the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe will feature a much larger kidney grille than the last-generation model, though it looks slightly less jarring on the longer 4 Series Gran Coupe.
Elsewhere, the roof will be longer and slightly higher at the rear than the regular 4 Series Coupe to increase the rear headroom and the rear window will be positioned further back. The redesigned LED headlights and taillights will look identical to the regular 4 Series Gran Coupe.
Under the hood, engine options for the 2021 BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe will include a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo producing 255 horsepower and 294 lb-ft of torque and a 3.0-liter turbo-six with 382 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. A full-fat BMW M4 Gran Coupe is also rumored to join the lineup. Expect a debut either later this year or in early 2021.
