Of course someone had to render the Tesla Roadster SpaceX variant with rockets installed.
Traditionally, Tesla's cars look very understated, which doesn't reflect the monumental performance they are capable of. In contrast, hypercars offering similar performance to Teslas often look more aggressive, featuring crazy aero packages and massive wings. That tradition is set to continue with the new Roadster. A non-enthusiast probably wouldn't think it's capable of hitting 0-62 mph in 1.9 seconds just by looking at it.
Elon Musk recently confirmed there will also be an optional SpaceX performance package available for the Roadster that will further improve the already insane performance. A render posted by AllCarNews shows what the range-topping Roadster could look like. If the final design looks anything like this, it will be a lot more aggressive than the base model. Musk confirmed the SpaceX version will have 10 mini-rocket thrusters adorning the exterior to improve performance. With this in mind, the render features two small rockets in the air intakes positioned under the headlights. Additional rockets have been fitted to the side skirts and another can be seen in front of the rear wheel arch.
These will most likely be connected to a tank in the back in place of seats. The hypothetical Roadster SpaceX has also been fitted with an aggressive aero package, featuring a prominent splitter, a widened front track, and a massive rear wing to increase downforce and keep the car glued to the road at high speeds. Time will tell if the exterior modifications of the SpaceX variant will look anything like this, but if it does this will be the most extreme-looking Tesla ever.
