The 2019 Ram 1500 is ready for the hordes.
The Ram 1500 range has just been redesigned for 2019 and while they are already plenty capable in a variety of road conditions, the North Edition adds a host of equipment to the rugged truck to raise its winter game even further.
“The Ram 1500 North is more than a great-looking pickup, it offers cold-weather content for truck owners who require a no-compromise 4x4 as part of their daily regimen,” said Reid Bigland, Head of Ram Brand. “A factory lift, locking rear axle and all-weather tires deliver confidence when your path is anything but clear.”
Aside from the locking rear axle and raised ride-height, the Ram 1500 North comes packed with a whole lot of additional equipment to ensure that you can not only scale the most inhospitable terrain but also stay warm and comfortable while doing so.
Notable standard features include an engine block heater, heated steering wheel and seats, heated folding exterior mirrors and all-weather floor mats to help keep the carpets and flooring clean of slush and mud.
Further creature comforts include a 12-way power driver seat, remote start, and an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen. To help keep the body-colored bumpers, grille and mirrors intact there is also a standard front and rear park assist system.
The North Edition is based on the Big Horn model and can be had in Crew Cab body style with either a short or long bed layout. Engine options are either a 305-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 or if you happen to need a few extra horses to outrun the frozen masses, a 395-hp 5.7-liter V8. The Ram 1500 North Edition is available at dealers now.
