French driver escaped with minor injuries.
This morning, French daredevil and rally driver Guerlain Chicerit tried and miserably failed to beat Tanner Foust’s world record for the longest car jump that stands at 332 feet. The 360-foot jump was attempted in a modified Mini Countryman rally car at the French ski resort of Tignes. While the run up and execution of the jump looked pretty much textbook, the landing was a mess with the Mini nosediving sharply before cartwheeling to a stop, ending up on its side.
Chicherit was quickly transported to a hospital by helicopter and miraculously survivied the crash with minor injuries. Better luck next time, mate.
