A short time ago, we got word that Paul Walker's Toyota Supra from "The Fast and the Furious" was going up for auction. You know, the Supra that Brian O'Connor drove in the film's epic final drag race. Yup, that one. The estimate for the car, which was put up for sale by Mecum Auctions, was set at $150,000 to $200,000. That was right on the money (pun intended) as the Supra just sold for $185,000.

Propelling this Supra is a 3.0-liter inline-six good for 220 horsepower. Other goodies include a roll cage, stunt suspension and two unconnected bottles of nitrous. That's all well and good, but what really jacked the price up was obviously a combination of fame, nostalgia and tragedy. It's hard to imagine the car selling for such a princely sum if Walker were still alive and well. Hopefully the new owner will take the Supra out every now and then for a spin. Do you think a car guy like Paul Walker would really want this ride to be garaged for eternity?
