After the very recent reveal of the all-new 2016 Audi A4, it's now that time when we start to talk about performance-oriented derivatives. With the next-generation S4 expected in late 2016 and featuring the same supercharged 3.0-liter V6, everybody is curious to see what the next RS 4 will bring. Like in previous generations, this rendering shows us what an RS 4 Avant, a super-performing wagon based on the new generation, could look like. Heavily influenced by the RS 3, especially in the front grille and spoiler, this looks like one mean station wagon.

But Audi has already shown us how incredible the RS 3 Sportback will be, and if we take rendering artists' word for it, the RS 3 Sedan – which could make it to America – will be just as hot. But isn't it time we also started talking about an RS 4 sedan which could actually give the Mercedes C63 and BMW M3 a decent run for their money?
