Despite Gran Turismo 7 being delayed and Forza Motorsport's release date remaining unknown, 2021 is shaping up to be a great year for racing game fans who enjoy burning virtual rubber. Forza Horizon 5 is taking the open-world series to Mexico later this year and F1 2021 is making its next-generation console debut on PS5 and Xbox One Series X this summer. For rally fans, WRC 10 is also skidding onto consoles and PC this September.

Developed by French studio Kylotonn, which developed the last five WRC games, WRC 10 is based on the World Rally Championship. With officially licensed WRC cars, challenging stages that can take up to 20 minutes to complete, and realistic driving physics, the WRC game series offers a more authentic experience than DiRT 5.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the World Rally Championship, WRC 10 will be bundled with special anniversary content. A new Anniversary mode lets players relieve 19 historic events from the WRC. There are also six historic rallies including the legendary Acropolis Rally (Greece) and Rallye Sanremo (Italy), as well as 22 iconic WRC cars, including Group B legends like the Audi Quattro and Lancia 037.

After being conspicuously absent in previous WRC games, you'll also be able to drive the legendary Mitsubishi Lancer Evo V and 1997 Subaru Impreza WRC in WRC 10. A new trailer gives us a closer look at the Acropolis Rally, which seems incredibly challenging with its winding dusty roads and cliff edges.

WRC 10 also introduces four new rally locations that were added to the WRC 2021 calendar: Belgium, Croatia, Estonia and Spain, bringing the total number of environments to 19. Combined with improved driving physics, reworked audio effects, and an expanded career mode that lets you create your own team and design your own liveries, WRC 10 looks like the ultimate package for hardcore rally fans.

WRC 10 powerslides onto PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on September 2, as well as Nintendo Switch at a later date. For a limited time, PC players can also download a free demo of WRC 10 on Steam until June 22.
