Pontiac is sadly gone forever. GM has no intention of reviving it. It's a done deal. Fortunately there are still plenty of classic Pontiacs out there to buy and cherish. One of them is this 1970 Firebird that's heading to the auction block. But this isn't just any old Firebird. It's been given a thorough restomod and is actually a two-time SEMA feature vehicle. It also happens to have a twin-turbo V8 engine paired to a six-speed manual. And it's painted black on black.

Other features include a custom billet Visner intake manifold, stainless steel manifolds, exhaust and custom plumbing, 3-inch Magnaflow mufflers, a custom-fabricated steel aero package, custom Forgiato Ritorno wheels, limited-slip differential, and Corbeau Racing bucket seats with 5-point belts. The car has also competed in two Optima Street Car Invitationals. Like what you see here? How can you not? It'll be up for grabs later this week at the Mecum Auction in Chicago.
