Though it's more of a fantasy soccer game than a realistic racing simulator, the popular title Rocket League has added several real-world vehicles that you can use in-game. These include the Ford F-150 pickup truck, Lamborghini Huracan STO supercar, and a series of Fast & Furious vehicles. That list just got a bit larger with the addition of the 2023 Nissan Z sports car, which arrives in dealers later this summer.

"We're excited for the passionate fans of Rocket League to experience the thrill of the all-new Nissan Z," said Allyson Witherspoon, vice president and CMO, Nissan US. "This is also a great moment to highlight our existing collaboration with FaZe Clan as we continue to look for new and authentic ways to be present in the ever-expanding Esports world."

The real-life Z packs a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine producing 400 horsepower going out to the rear wheels through either a six-speed manual or nine-speed automatic transmission. However, those specifications won't really matter when you're driving up a simulated wall trying to punt a giant soccer ball into the opposing team's goal.

Rocket League will make the Z Performance Bundle available from May 26 to June 7. The bundle includes the Nissan Z (based on the Z Performance trim), wheels, engine audio, a player banner, and a Nissan x FaZe Clan Decal. Like previous packs, the Z isn't free, and will cost 1100 credits ($9.99) in the item shop.

To celebrate the Z's in-game arrival, Nissan will host a Nissan Crew Battles livestream on May 26, which starts at 10 am Pacific Time on Twitch. The livestream features teams of three pros competing in a Crew Battle format (3v3, then 2v2, then 1v1) with a $25,000 prize pool on the line. In addition to this event, Nissan will sponsor other Rocket League Esports competitions, including the upcoming Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) North American Regional even from May 27-29, which will be called "the Nissan Classic."
