Not to be outdone buy a $300,000 self-leveling, carbon-fiber Bugatti pool table, Bentley today revealed a new fragrance to pair with your Continental GT Speed, Bentaygaor Flying Spur. God forbid you step out of your uber-luxury sedan smelling like a regular person. And for just 69.50 British pounds ($96.41 at current exchange rates), you too can smell like a Bentley owner. We'll let the luxury manufacturer take it from here.

"Made for those with unbreakable spirit, the latest offering from Bentley Fragrances is a bold and spicy, yet creamy and floral scent for men. Bentley Momentum Unbreakable blends new, high-tech ingredients with age-old perfumery traditions, to create an unbeatable new fragrance. Variations in color, pattern and texture on the stone plated bottle, ensure that no two are ever the same - just like the stone veneers available as a custom option within Bentley's cars."

Got it?

Bentley says the new fragrance is centered around something called Dreamwood, "a sustainable natural ingredient that reproduces the smoky, creamy scent of sandalwood." It also says it's a scent for today's "cool-hunters," whatever that means.

It differs from Bentley's other Momentum scents - yes, there are several - with a "warmer, woodier interpretation of the line" that "expresses all of the thrilling facets of a contemporary urban adventurer." It opens with a violet leaf smell, with mandarin oil, lavender, mint and rose. To that it adds licorice, dried fruit and amber, which we didn't know had a scent until now. Overall, Bentley says, it signature is a "rich, warm palette of woods."

Hey, we love wood, so that's a plus. And as the pandemic stretches on, lumber is becoming as luxurious an item as a Bentley, seriously, so there is some synergy there. Though we're betting that's not why the company created the scent.

We will give credit to the cool bottle it comes in, as it looks like a cut gem. It's certainly part of the price. Bentley says the stone plate of the bottle is hewn from mica schist, a crystalline rock containing reflective silvers of mica. The back of the bottle features "the marque's signature knurling."

We'll also admit that we'd like to smell it, so if there are any samples floating around, send them our way. Now, we just wonder what happens what you're shooting pool on your yacht with your Bugatti table and someone shows up in helicopter wearing Bentley cologne. It'll be the Sharks and Jets all over again.
