The 599 isn't that old, right?
The Ferrari 599 GTO isn’t all that old and is certainly no slouch on the tarmac. When it was announced in 2010, the GTO was said to be Ferrari’s quickest road-legal car ever, beating out the mighty Enzo on the Fiorano test track by a whole second. That’s lofty praise but is it enough to run-down the 599’s successor, the F12 Berlinetta, in a straight-line race? We did just see this same F12 lose a sprinting contest to an M6, albeit a tuned one.
As you might have guessed the 599 GTO gets crushed. The only thing that’s truly shocking is how bad it loses.
