Why wouldn't he?
He may never get Cadillac to build the gorgeous Elmiraj but at least Jay Leno can console himself by going out and buying the luscious Porsche 918 Spyder. Stuttgart's first supercar since the Carrera GT, the 918 was recently unveiled in production-guise at Pebble Beach, where Leno got some time with project manager Frank Walliser before taking the 211-mph supercar for a spin. Moving through the modes, the 918 can be driven in eerie silence or with the brand-new 4.6-liter V8 wailing through the unique upward-exiting exhaust system.
Once the requisite options and handling fees are taken into account, the 918 Spyder will cost buyers close to $1 million. Or pocket money as Leno likes to call it. His legendary garage is about to get a new addition.
