"Click it or ticket" looks like crap next to this.
It's a fact of life that listening to cops talk about automotive safety is one of the most boring experiences a student (or a human of any age) will ever endure. However, the Connecticut State Police have found a new way to convince kids to wear their seat belts: The Convincer. The aptly named machine simulates what it's like to get into a crash going just 5 mph. The kids in the simulator wear seat belts but still look shocked as to how powerful a crash at such slow speeds truly is. To be fair, it looks like it hurts.
In addition to The Convincer there's a rollover simulator that shows how quickly people, in this case dummies, fall out of rolling cars when not wearing seat belts.
