Nothing like seeing one of yesterday's heroes in action.

It was without question one of the coolest cars of the 1980s. And today the Ferrari Testarossa has gone down in the history books as one of the all-time greats to ever roll out of the gates of Maranello. Many of us grew up with the Testarossa as one of our dream cars, oftentimes alongside the equally formidable Lamborghini Countach. Styled by Pininfarina, the Testarossa featured those now trademark side strakes, often referred to as "cheese graters." Power came from a mid-mounted flat-12 engine that produced 390 hp.

Top speed was officially rated at 180 mph. And for anyone who missed out (likely many of you) on official Testarossa test drive reviews, MotorWeek regularly posts a series of retro episodes from back in the day. Try not to laugh at various parts, but here's its 1988 Testarossa review.
