Only 500 lucky customers had the opportunity to purchase a 2019 McLaren Senna, with around 120 of those cars making their way to the United States. Sure, you could buy a used one, but that will cost you well over $1 million. If that's out of the realm of possibility, we have some good news. McLaren likes to offer ride-on toy versions of its supercars, like the 720S. The UK automaker even builds toy versions of its limited-edition models such as the P1.

Following on the success of the 720S and P1 ride-on cars, McLaren just announced a new model based on the limited edition Senna, which is named after three-time McLaren Formula 1 World Champion, Ayrton Senna. Now your kids can drive one of McLaren's most track-capable cars of all time. Well, a toy version of it, at least.

Buyers have a choice of five McLaren paint colors, including black, white, Mira orange, Vega blue, and Memphis red. A special combination of yellow with green accents (pictured here), the colors of Senna's race helmet, is exclusive to McLaren retailers. Though the car is designed for children aged three to six, McLaren F1 driver Lando Norris proved that adults could squeeze into it and have some fun.

All of the features found in the 720S ride-on car carry over to the Senna. These include working dihedral doors, push-button start with Senna engine sounds, working brake light, and an infotainment system with a USB port and SD card slot to play music.

Performance from the car's tiny electric motor will pale in comparison to the real thing, which is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 789 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. At least the ride-on Senna will be much cheaper than the full-size car, with pricing starting at £375 (around $491) in the UK.
