The 2021 Cadillac Escalade is significantly more advanced and luxurious than ever before. A new interior promises new levels of refinement, while new tech will include an industry-first 38-inch curved OLED display and Cadillac's hands-free Super Cruise driving assist. In short, it's nice. Very, very nice.

Deliveries of the 2021 Cadillac Escalade won't start until later this year, but render artists are already imagining new takes on the full-size luxury SUV. We've already seen what the 2021 Cadillac Escalade could look like as a widebody lowrider. But what if the Escalade was transformed into a hardcore off-roader? While the 2021 Escalade's air suspension can automatically lower the ride height for highway driving or increase it when driving off road, this clearly isn't an SUV designed for serious off-roading.

Instagram user adry53customs has changed that by digitally adding an extreme off-road kit enabling the Escalade to tackle rough terrain, and it looks extreme. A lift kit raises the Escalade's ride height to provide significantly more ground clearance, while massive off-roading tires wrapped in snow chains make light work light work of dense mud and snow. At least, that's the case in this rendering.

Additional mirrors have also been added to the front fenders for increased visibility. It looks like it's been on some intensive off-road adventures because the body is caked in mud and dirt in contrast to the SUV's shiny chrome trim.

The artist appears to have based their hardcore off-roader on the Premium Luxury trim. Considering it starts at $85,695 when equipped with the Performance Package , we doubt many owners would be happy to see it as dirty as this. Yet it looks like it could eat G-Wagens and Land Rover Defenders for lunch.

Being based on the 2021 Cadillac Escalade, the off-roader would be powered by either a 6.2-liter V8 with 420 horsepower or a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel engine rated at 277 hp. Both powertrains offer 460 lb-ft of torque.

Would you like to see this off-road Cadillac Escalade get turned into a reality?
