When you set out to build a sports car, it helps if you've got something special under the hood. If you want that hood and all other bodywork to be absolutely gorgeous, the people at Zagato are who you should be buying your car from. The Italian design house has a long history of producing stunning metalwork, and its IsoRivolta GTZ is no different. With the beating heart of a C7 Corvette Z06, the GTZ is both beautiful and brutal. Although we knew about its engine back in August, the company has just now revealed more details and announced that the first model has been delivered.

In case you're not up to speed on the previous-generation Corvette's output, here's a quick recap. Its LT4 engine is a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that can also be found under the hood of the awesome Camaro ZL1. It produces 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. According to Zagato, this helps the GTZ get from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.7 seconds. Top speed is 195 mph, but just look at the car! This thing could be as slow as a Honda Beat and still be highly desirable. Interestingly, the sexy bodywork is fashioned from carbon fiber, although aluminum would have been easier to mold.

Sadly, the images we've been given don't show the whole interior, but you can rest assured that it will be a sight to behold too. There's plenty of luscious leather, some choice aluminum bits, and a pair of delicious-looking bucket seats. Just 19 examples will be built, making this just as desirable to the collector as anything else with the Zagato name attached to it. Unfortunately, no pricing information has been released, but we don't need to spell out the obvious here. Unless your bank account balance is comprised of at least eight digits before the decimal point, we wouldn't bother asking.
